My new Cartier Tank Basculante

Apr 25, 2017,19:38 PM

I recently picked up this excellent, near mint Tank Basculante with original strap and box and papers and I couldn't be happier with it.  Such a beautiful, classy, elegant, and simple yet delectably tricky in its design.  I just had to have one.

Uploaded a bunch of pics that I've taken while wearing it the past few weeks since I couldn't decide which ones I like best smile

Cheers!

This is the less known 'companion design' of the classic reverso...

...But with a slightly different take. I really like the 'table-top clock' versatile adaptation of this watch. It is one watch that is not commonly shown even around here, and demonstrates how case design innovation has lapsed relative to what we are able...

Good idea

I should do that!

Beautiful watch.

I let go my "special one" and I regret it. Best wishes Alkiro ...

Was this a CPCP one, Alkiro?

Who was behind the movement on that one? Great piece, really unfortunate that it's not with you anymore...

Not exactly

It's from the CPCP era but lacks the rose print on the dial. The caliber is from F.Piguet.

Not that intimately familiar :)

Thanks for the added detail! A great watch by all means!

Not a rare answer :)

Too bad you had to sell that one. I like the look of the display back for the movement as it's pretty special looking, but I also love the simplicity of mine.

Don't hesitate... keep it ;-)

Wonderful Tank

and it fits you very well. Do you have plans to engrave the back, like some people also do with their Reverso? GEO

Thanks!

You know, I'm not sure. I plan to wear this on my wedding day so perhaps an engraving could eventually be added at some point.

Congrats!
