Ok, I have to say this is a very impressive watch! Really it is.

May 03, 2017,16:11 PM

Very hard to photograph but the off set second hand is placed in a recess in the email.

White gold dial. Semi micro rotor. Email dial with recess (without gold borders). A mega timeless watch with a twitch. The crystal has a sort of grained surface. Unexpectedly I'm sort of in awe with this watch.

I know the next pic is pretty bad, but it does show the recess of the second dial in the email (!). Which is pretty amazing if you ask me.

When I'm a little older.....

POOF! You're 60!

LOL

Yes I know time flies, but just give me a few minutes please! (and it's a shame it's not hand wound)

It's beautiful.

And for a gold cased-enamel dialed watch the price is somewhat incredible. Sure, you could wait until you are really 60. Or you could pretend I'm the Genii in the bottle, and get it now. The choice is yours.

I've never said it is a 60+ watch [nt]

Very nice offering from Breguet.

I wish it were 38 or even 39mm though.

It's a perfect 40 mm

(All obviously depending on wrist size)

it is

that email dial with second hand subdial out of one piece is something different

I was seriously considering this one.

But the I got the Langematic. So now it is on hold.

absolutely gorgeous

it just sits too large on my 15cm tiny wrist, esp with Breguet's long lugs. This is the very watch that attracted me to the brand. I bought a 3800 instead. cheers. james

It simply oozes Breguet DNA and I will have it someday!

I am waiting to see it in the metal but I can't imagine I will be disappointed. Thanks for sharing and reminding me that it is such a great classic. Best to all, Tim

No you won't be

It's gorgeous watch. Breguet has never really had my interest (style wise) but regarding this watch I'm sold.

When I close my eyes and spontaneously think of what A Watch looks like, no conceptualization, just what comes immediately as it would when I was a child...

This is the watch that I see, that I have always seen, years before I knew that someone had made it real.

Really fabulous piece from Breguet!

Do you by any chance have pictures of the back?

No didn't take any

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : May 4th, 2017-00:06
It has a huge micro rotor (if that makes any sense). I feel this watch really is about the front.

What we can call Breguet purity

And thank you for the "recess" detail

Best wishes Alkiro

Yes I remember a sales lady mentioning it

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : May 4th, 2017-07:57
But I forgot to ask where.... didn't see anything on the grand feu enamel dial though (luckily). Do recall a marking in the crystal... mmmm... I should go back to investigate a little further

It has between the center and the 3/4 o'clock indices if memory serves me well...

will try to post images later this week. Magnus

Went to see this model today

And it's absolutely beautiful, although I think it could have been a tad smaller... Here are 3 pictures. On the last one you can see the secret signature at 3 o'clock, mid-way between the center and the index. ...

Just found this thread.

Thanks for posting the picture of the secret signature on the email dial. Answered my Question beautifully. Cheers

Yes it's a novelty [nt]

Very impressive!

 By: MTR : May 7th, 2017-11:23
This is going to be my first Breguet watch! Best, Thomas

Saw it again today at a fair

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : May 14th, 2017-10:01
And it's still as alluring. Classical perfection.

Yes, indeed.

 By: MTR : May 14th, 2017-14:12
With a warm and "poetic" dial. 2 years ago a bought a MB fountain pen, its body consisting of white Meissen porcelain. The colour is a very special, soft white which I love very much. I wonder if this dial has a similar appearance. Have to see it in real ...

Don't forget to take the pen with you!

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : May 15th, 2017-16:00
The best I could describe it is milk like white (softer indeed). But I have not seen it outside in natural light...

A win-win-win combination

Email, thin and sits well - what else to ask for? The only part to be upgraded is the movement that seems a bit to narrow. The watch is serious improvement from the 5140.

..

This is the special 'suppleness' only an enamel dial can achieve. IMO breguet's enamel dials always had a very special depth, maybe it's the ever so slightly off white color , or maybe it's the thick glaze.
