Some vintage Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Mil Spec pictures, for the pleasure of the eyes...
Since Blancpain unveiled a new Fifty Fathoms Mil Spec, we have to make the distinction between vintage and moderns, now.
For me, the FF Mil Spec is without date.
It must be without date.
The dial is so pure, so strong, so beautiful!

I didn't realize that there were so many variations. All have their own charm, too.
On another note, I've always found it interesting that some military divers (and civilian too I suppose) have a full set of hash marks on the rotating bezel, where some have marks only at 5 minute intervals, and some even fewer than that. I would think th...
Beautiful but...
The new one is better balanced vs the vintage one. The ratio bezel/dial is not so good on the original Mil-spec IMHO. And for the date, as far as I am concerned (I have preordered one...) I find it very useful and does not attract the eye too much compare...
