My two first vintage Fifty Fathoms. Milspec Civilian / No Rad Bund.

Some ten years ago...

You know the story quite well... These 2 have gone for other vintage FFs, a TR 900 and an AM.

I cannot say that I regret the upgrade, but when it comes to vintage Fifty Fathoms, there is a golden rule: Do never let one go... You may regret it.

The No Rad Bund, for example... I should have never let it go. I am now sentenced to find another one. I cannot close my vintage Fifty Fathoms collection without finding one, among a few others, such as a Barakuda, and a nice 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 Rotomatic Incabloc.

Damn mistakes...

Best,

Nicolas

... your words are almost a rule here: never let go a FF or regrets will come!! Every time I view a FF I feel how much I neeed one for my collection! Any variant! The image of the table I viewed during our last meeting in Paris still haunts me!! Un abrazo...

You mean this photo?

... This shot is antological! I have this shot in my office computer desk top and view it as a reminder of that memorable day! Don't think I'll be able to see such a gathering of FF again! Lol! Thank you for that banquet my friend! Abrazos! Abel

I will have to try to organize another vintage Fifty Fathoms GTG, one day. I am impatient to live that moment, again.

Now, there are watches we'll have quite no chances to see again... For example, this Bronze Milspec US Navy. When I think that I was offered this one... Un abrazo, amigo mio. Nicolas

Another GTG with so many FF would be great. But you are right, these are unrepeatable experiences as some watches are so unique...

... and so difficult to gather again! Not bad to make a new try though! Lol! Who knows which nice surprise answers to the call! Hope to be there to witness it again!! Cheers! Abrazos mi amigo Nicolas! Abel.

Great!! [nt]

an outstanding collection of fifty fathoms. I remember of being to the blancpain exhibit back in Paris some years ago, weren't those watches exposed?

Some years back, I remeber having been to a fifty fathoms exhibit and I do wonder if the watches in question were watches of Purists. And yes some timpieces should never ever be sold. Because when you seem on the market after a couple of years the value h...
