A small photoshop job et voilà.

The existing version, and below, the one I would have loved to see...

What is your feeling here?

Best,

I will... ;) [nt]

 By: amanico : March 28th, 2018-05:03

I think the same [nt]

 By: foversta : March 27th, 2018-13:13

100% agree.

 By: BMR : March 27th, 2018-14:03
Would try hard to get one if there was no date. Will pass even though I still think it’s a nice watch with the date.

Exactly my point. [nt]

 By: amanico : March 28th, 2018-05:04

Definitely without

 By: vitalsigns : March 27th, 2018-13:20
Also take out the humidity indicator and BP will have another sale! Cheers, John

That would work :)

 By: vitalsigns : March 27th, 2018-13:59
In reality, just offer a regular BP in 40-42mm, sans date, and with sensible thickness...

Huge improvement with minimal effort!

 By: als1678 : March 27th, 2018-13:21
I think the dial is the main appeal of this watch, there is no reason to poke a hole in it. For me there are two more issues that are more obvious in person than in pictures - the case is too thick relative to its diameter, the same for the bezel which ma...

Without date

 By: Joepny : March 27th, 2018-13:26
Why BP insists on that angled date indicator year after year, SMH? And who needs to know the date when you are in/under water? 🤷‍♂️

Without, no doubt.

 By: VMM : March 27th, 2018-13:36
And if the case could be the one they used for the 50th Anniversary edition, even better. Best, Vte

The no date is so much balanced ...

Repeat my mantra: "Dates belongs to smartphones, except on a perpetual calendar". Cheers, Nilo

That‘s an easy one: why would a diver need a date for diving. Same with pilot watches: if you are a ....

 By: HSTE : March 27th, 2018-13:59
..... pilot, you get up and you know the date. You do not need the date on your wristwatch. Trouble is that 99+% of the respective buyers are neither divers nor pilots. But then, eh, buy another watch if the missing date bothers you. Cheers, HSTE

I'm one of the 1% :)

Without !

You don’t need to know the date underwater (very often)

Great reply ! [nt]

 By: Cpt Scarlet : March 27th, 2018-14:46

Happy owner, but without ;)

No dates ever! [nt]

If I may add to your composition, your sirness:

 By: agyzace : March 27th, 2018-16:51
1. Bezel should not have the graduations in the first 15 minutes. Should be plain 2. Case should be brushed 3. Humidity indicator pink or light blue instead of orange This would be a killer imo. All the very best, Alex

Sure no date would be nice...

 By: pfang56 : March 27th, 2018-17:37
But quite pleased with the watch anyway! Then again, I am a total Blancpain FF newbie and when I first saw the announcement of this piece, I decided to jump right in and become a new owner. I just wish they had an easier method for changing straps. In any...

OT question

 By: claes_t : March 28th, 2018-01:31
In the tribute, does the moisture indicator actually work, or is it purely for show?

The articles I read about the reedition stated, that the moisture indicator is fully working

 By: nafetS : March 28th, 2018-05:26
Of course, with the development in technology, it should be rather useless, because the probability of water entrance is very Low.

Without without a doubt [nt]

Me too. [nt]

From a purity and a historical standpoint...

 By: shortys home : March 28th, 2018-04:46
... no date would be perfect. However, it is a modern interpretation, other than the Omega Trilogy 1957 watches it is not meant to exactly replicate the original. A modern dive watch is often more an everyday watch, so for me it works with date - it still...

As an owner of a Mil Spec

 By: 2redbulls : March 30th, 2018-19:53
As an owner of a Mil Spec, I'd be pretty annoyed if Blancpain released another version without a date. I'd sell mine and never buy another limited edition watch from them.

Yes

 By: 2redbulls : March 31st, 2018-18:23
I suppose that wouldn't bother me. Just don't go crazy like Omega with 50 different Speedmaster special editions.

+1. [nt]

 By: amanico : April 1st, 2018-00:00

At 40mm, this FF with date is nothing short of pure awesome-ness...

 By: YpJ : April 4th, 2018-22:04
But delete that date window and it's perfection!

We'll see. [nt]

 By: amanico : May 4th, 2018-23:48

doesnt matter

 By: wilhal_18 : May 7th, 2018-08:56
They both look fabulous. amazing watch really. Now, will blancpain give us 40mm ff? they already released 38mm Bathy. so ff50 is incoming? moreover, the watch was released since 2007. the upgrade is impending.

Looks good

 By: Mr.Gatsby : June 8th, 2018-23:14
With the editing. One other thing...prefer a brushed finish versus a polished finish. An FF should be more understated and less bling, just like how tool watches are meant to be.

No date ! [nt]

 By: Cpt Scarlet : June 10th, 2018-01:08

A big YES! [nt]

 By: amanico : June 10th, 2018-06:03

With date = OK, nice watch. Without date = yes, I would buy.

 By: MichaelC : June 18th, 2018-19:38
I had the opportunity to get it as produced and passed. Once released as you show it, I won't

Why do you even need to ask. For sure no date

 By: TdotBean : June 29th, 2018-19:42
I will rush out in an instant to get one if Blancpain make it a no date version

I vote ‘date’!

 By: pulp84 : July 4th, 2018-00:38
I’m going to be in the minority and say I prefer with the date. I think it’s functional and I like the splash of asymmetry it gives to the dial. I completely understand the ‘no date’ camp though!
