From the straight forward Vingt-8, what with its stunning beauty and unmatched finish, to the current version of the Voutilainen GMT, Kari's work is as unique as the man himself.
This is how the masters of 250 years ago made their timepieces. By hand, one-by-one, for each patron willing and able to afford such beauty.
This is what I call "Living Art". Simply by way of its precise design and construction, with proper care it will continue to run for generations to come.
Not only is he one of the most talented watchmakers in the world, Kari is also an all around great guy. I was fortunate to visit to his atelier in Motiers last year and got to see firsthand how he approaches his craft
Staring into those genius eyes, I realize I have been hypnotized into pouring a beer and eating a bratwurst. Thanks to Kari V for his time and amazing talents.
