Another long haul !

Sep 25, 2016,15:07 PM

Well if you consider 700-ish kilometers a long haul.

Another small France-job to perform, so what better day to pick than a calm saturday.

My 'tractor' enjoying the view.

Very little traffic always makes these trips relaxing.

First stop.

I often stop to honor the real heroes :-(

Peace ......

After a stop at a 'boulanger' where i can buy some real croissants (not the shit 99% of Belgian bakeries sell you these days) i pulled over to enjoy their taste and a cup of coffee offcourse. I wonder who lives in that little cabin, maybe a true Purist that decided to live in desolation.

I'm always enjoying these stunning views early in the morning.

Usually i'm a very looooooong sleeper unless i get to do these trips.

Obviously something went wrong here with the digitalisation of this picture .. Bim would never drive that fast on a country-road ;-) ... especially one-handed ....

I guess it's time to hit the brakes !

This was a stunning sight, if only the photo could only be 10% of the real view :-(

First job done, one to go .... after lunch that is smile

Time to go home now ....

I hope one day i will see the end of the tunnel .........

Hope you enjoyed this little trip.

Bim

my favorite is the second photo because of the moody atmosphere and the fact I always loved BMW's dashboard lighting color of choice - orange! Other than that I must admit to being surprised by you saying that a huge percentage of Belgian bakeries are not...

That pic is exactly as you describe it.

We have big companies here that pre-produce all the bread, croissants, chocolate and fruit sandwiches (quickfrozen) ... ship them to the bakeries around the country and they just bake them in the oven. This stuff isn't bad or very low quality, that i must...

Ok,
