SIHH 2017: Audemars Piguet Live Photo - Day 2!

Jan 17, 2017,12:56 PM

"Wow" is the word.  The more you ask for, the more novelties come out (if you are persistent and fortunate).  Soooo many novelties.

Just enjoy the photos taken today at SIHH....

Royal Oak Offshore Diver in new colors.

Navy

Orange

Yellow

Green

White

Royal Oak Tourbillon Extra-Thin Openworked in PG
41mm

These sharp angles cannot be done by machine - lots of manual work poured into this.

Royal Oak Tourbillon Exrtra-Thin Openworked in SS.
41mm

Power reserve meter is on the back.

So beautiful.  All of LE must be spoken for pretty soon.....

So cool...

Royal Oak Tourbillon Chronograph Openworked in Titanium
44mm

Very, very light.

Royal Oak Tourbillon Chronograph Openworked in PG
44mm

Soooo heavy! (surely lighter than all Platinum Offshore I saw yesterday...)

Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph Selfwinding in bright green.
Peripheral rotor (invisible as the rotor is on the edge without center).

This color dial must need real skill to have lots of holes like this model.

Rotor rotates on the edge.  The curvy parts remind of the old pocket watches.

Those pushers, crown cover are all colored ceramic.

Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph in YG
(Titanium is available, but too popular today and I couldn't handle it)

Pusher/ crown cover are polished black ceramic.

That's it!

Did you find something you are tempted by? smile)

Ken from freezing Geneva.

AP's new tourbillons are simply superb. The brand deserves quite a bit of credit for its executions of this complication. I don't think anyone does it better.

My pleasure, really!

Bravo for the amazing skeleton and chronograph movements. About those fancy Offshore, I found them utterly boring, the same old story. Well, the Navy is not that bad. Thanks for the pics. Vte

Hope to demo a few on my wrist later this year. Thanks for the excellent coverage, Ken.

First of all, thanks, Ken, for covering all these novelties with us.

We all know how tough it is to cover in such light conditions. And you did it pretty well. Now, if I have a favorite? I think we have the same one, my friend. The RO 41 Tourbillon open dial, in steel. A bomb, and a delicious one. Best, Nicolas

Thanks Ken for the post.

And I know it is coming, the Platinum anniversary openwork tourbillon will eventually make available in steel! Meaning more lucky man can enjoy this gorgeous openwork on wrist. Joseph

White diver strikes me...

the rest... all exquisite.. but I'm long in this game... many watches after many years all look, feel, seem the same... even highly complicated... don't strike me much... Ap is simply an amazing manufacture... I feel so lucky to wear a 15202.

Another great article and super pics!

Wow! Some outstanding new pieces! I am especially smitten with the RO Tourbillon Chronograph Openworked edition, particularly in titanium! I think that this model may have just displaced the Pasha de Cartier Tourbillon 2001 LE model (ref. 2542) from the t...

Thanks, Jeff!
