New in house Chrono?

Jan 04, 2018,09:12 AM

Could this possibly be the new in house chronograph we’ve all been waiting for? Reference 26221 has only been used on the Michael Schumacher Laptimer released a few years back. If I remember correctly FHB said in an interview that they would be basing the new chronograph movement off of that. Could this be another limited edition Schumacher that will debut the new in house chrono or will they use the production royal oak Chrono with that reference as an ode to him? Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts!

From what I have read and heard, we will first see the new AP in-house Chronograph in the new round classic collection I understand will be unveiled at SIHH.

I do hope so [nt]

It seems that the reference number was a typo and AP has corrected the error after giving me false hope ...

Bezel?

It appears to only have six holes in the "bezel"!

The screws

in most Royal Oak bezels are merely decorative (they don’t trespass the bezel). Those that seem to be missing in the case construction will be fixed to the bezel at a later stage of the assembly.

I have always been under the impression that the screws secured the bezel to the back of the case. Logically, not securing the bezel continuously allows unequal pressure to be disturbed on the bezel, makes absolutely no sense to me what so ever!
