The JPM was the launching platform of audacious Royal Oak Offshores to come. I owned it as well, and can definitely say I prefer the titanium RBII, but I always give the Montoya its well deserved credit. It is an awesome watch.
PS - I am quite reminded of it this past day, as most of the comments regarding the new 25th Anniversary Tourbillon Offshore are just like they were when the Montoya launched. So polarizing at the time, and countless guys circled back and changed their opinions. I was in a real minority to share love for the JPM during its early days. Seems it is the same regarding the new model too. I love being on the other side of the fence ;-)

The JPM was my first AP I fell in love with it the moment I saw it but eventually I sold it to get the RBII But I do remember when the JPM was launched and it was very audacious and daring at that time Great great watch

This is one of my favorite limited editions. The 5th picture captures it nicely. However, it's very difficult to capture the sheer beauty of this piece. In person, it just looks stupendous! I also think the original calf strap is no longer made too.
