Dear all,
I'm finally back from my long break from the end of last year and back in action again :)
I would also like to take this opportunity to wish all a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous new 2007!
As promised in the WatchRap forum last year, I would like to post some pictures of the IWC Portuguese Regulator in Titanium which is a special limited editon of 50 pieces made. This happen to be my Christmas Present last year as well ....
Unwrapping the cover, here's the box that houses the new watch...
I must say that IWC has improved on their watch box design and personally I like this watch box much better than any of the previous boxes I have had.
Opening the cover of this box reveal the grogeous Portuguese Regulator (ref.5444)....
There is a plate next to the watch holder that says.....
Yes, this is a special limited editon of 50 pieces made by IWC exclusively for one of the best retailers in Singapore, Sincere Fine Watches, for the special boutique known as the Sincere Haute Horlogerie. However, each indivdual pieces are not numbered, thus the plate mentioned "One of the 50 pieces".
Look the the beautiful grossy Black Dial, and in certain angle and lighting condition, it actually gives a blue tone as well. Coupled with the rose gold hands and hour indexes, and the white wordings, this watch definitely looks extremely attractive imho......
The watch case is in Titanium measuring 43mm in diameter. Here's another view of the watch front.... (sorry about the reflection on the top left corner)
Check out the fine craftmanship on this dial. The applied rose gold hour indexes, the sunken hour register with the circular pattern....
Another picture showing some of the details on the dial side. Second register with the same sunken circular pattern and the minute hand from the center of the dial.....
Personally, I like the use of the IWC Probus Scafusia logo on the crown that replaced the fish logo that IWC have been using since the early 70s... (sorry about the dust on the crown)
The side view of the watch, and it sits very nicely on one's wrist too....
The back of the watch is fitted with a see-through sapphire crystal to reveal the charming manual winding calibre 98245 movement. This is movement is based on the famous work house calibre 982 and modified with the Jones finger (regulator), cote de geneve finishing on the upper layer and perlage finsihing on the lower plates. Also, there is a SHH 2006 logo engraved on the bridge that holds the balance complete.
Some details on this attractive movement .......
Last but not least, I know some of you guys would like to see a wrist shot and here it goes....
Thank you guys for watching :)
Cheers
