Sea Hawk: A lot have happened in a quarter of a century...

You know I love to collect old documents of our beloved watches...
Not long ago I found this ad with the Sea Hawk ref 7100:
As you can see, a lot have changed since the re-launch of the "modern" Sea Hawk!
The latest from this year, Sea Hawk ref 49960 Blue:
My wish to collect watch documents is not only to have related "goodies" matching my watches.
You can always find small details or "evidence" hiding here and there...
Earlier information say that the Sea Hawk 7100 was released in 1989.
If we turn the ad over, there is a issue reference printed on the back....
December 1988. So, this was a pre-launch ad...? Maybe one of the very first Sea Hawk 7100 ads ever?
If so, are these prototypes in the photo? If yes, were there any changes on the final watches?
Interesting to see a divers watch with leather strap as original configuration.
Was the leather straps back then water resistant...?
Yupp, cost less than a movie ticket... And for sure will give you a lot of fun!
