certainly has a very interesting history that reflects the political environment of a certain era. I am glad that you got such detailed historical description from GP.

By the way, unfortunately I doubt if such watch-search database exists. As you can imagine, it is especially difficult when watches were assembled by different subsidiaries over the years, with various degrees of thoroughness in record keeping...
