Before seeing the watches in metal next Monday, I will say nothing definite. But I would summarize my feelings as follows:
Positive things are the history of the watch, the design, size and the similarity with the original watch.
Negative is that according to the currents standards, this watch is by no means a diving watch with its 100 m depth rating and non-rotating bezel. Additionally, the price is on the high side - same as two Rolex diving watches. Finally, the strap looks like similar rubbish as TTP strap.
I would really consider this watch and probably buy both versions if a steel bracelet of the original design would be available. But now: it is not a diving watch, it is not an excact re-production, it is expensive... I really do not know.
It is a nice watch. But I still have my Polarises and these watches have a depth rating enough for squba diving plus a rotating bezel. To decide about DSA is much more difficult than to decide about Reverso Tribute to 1931.
Best, Kari
