Daylight on Skid Row isn't so bad . . .

Jun 22, 2013,21:53 PM

. . . but at least until very recently, you wouldn't want to be here after sundown.  On two occasions, I've gotten lost in Downtown late at night, and wound up in this nightmarish neighborhood before finding my way out.  That's why I came to the King Eddy, located in the King Edward Hotel, in the middle of this Saturday afternoon.

Intersection of S Main and Winston, a block and a half northwest of the King Eddy.  I parked just off to the left of this photo . . .

. . . and walked down Winston . . .

. . . to S Los Angeles, turning right (south) . . .

. . . to the corner of S LA and 5th.  The placard above the 5th St sign reads 'Fashion District'.  It should read 'Skid Row'.
